Civil law
Civil law is a key area of law for Scoccini & Associati. The firm does not offer its services in some civil law areas (family law, vehicle accident claims and landlord/tenant litigation) because of its specific mission: assisting companies that operate in the European market. Conversely, contract law is a core area of practice for us. Scoccini & Associati is very familiar with all types of contracts (sale, supply, distribution, procurement etc.) used by its clients in their respective operating fields (real estate, finance, agricultural, food etc.). The firm prepares both general agreements and specific contracts. The professionals of the firm assist clients in Italy and abroad, both during the negotiation and completion stage of their contracts.
Scoccini & Associati also assists clients in managing their financial relations within families, for example with internal agreements (so-called “family pacts”, wills etc.) through the usage of European and international legal tools (trust, foundations under Austrian or Liechtenstein laws etc.). For these kinds of operations, we rely on a large network of lawyers, which allows us to work efficiently in several Member States and outside the EU. The issues of financial relations raised by our clients are always examined in light of the fiscal context, with help of the numerous internal and external fiscal advisors that collaborate with Scoccini & Associati.
Our civil law practice includes litigation against expropriation by public agencies and relative damages actions, where the firm has a long and profitable track record. Scoccini & Associati also ha considerable know-how in the field of professional negligence of persons such as doctors, notaries, attorneys and engineers, having assisted both professionals and their clients.
Finally, the firm assists associations and non-profit organizations with regard to, for example, their constitutions and internal regulations and has for decades advised some of the most important national associations of entrepreneurs.
